I’m giving this bar 5 stars because I love the food and bingo. Service is what you’d expect from a bar, the food is awesome. I always get the Rubin and Fries which is one of the best Rubin Sandwiches in the valley. The restrooms are bad. The smell in the hallway is that of a litter box that hasn’t been cleaned, ever. Restroom floors are sticky around the urinal. Please clean them.
We got a day pass to SPA and loved it. The hot tub is amazing! The massage is also great!!
Hands down, my favorite bar in the Salt Lake City area. They have excellent service / bar tenders along with a great beer selection. The atmosphere is great with live bands , I believe on Friday and Saturday night.
We come a few times a year. It is a great pub, often has live music and fun events. Good veggie menu as well so pleases everyone. This time (2025-02) we tried the fish and chips and the French dip. Fish and chips were great. The French dip was pretty bad, true disappointment. It seemed microwaved and after it cooled down 5m the 2nd half was like cardboard bread and the meat was not much better than soggy leather. The chips were great. Several people in our party had the bangers and mash which they all loved. Our waitress was great. Usually everything is great so just avoid the f-dip from now on. Lol.
My husband and I are regulars at Piper Down. We have had so many fond memories here such as birthday celebrations, meeting new friends, just because, and Holiday celebrations. I have a huge girl crush on one of the gal bartenders. She’s always so nice to me and has the prettiest tattoos! I was brave enough to tell her how pretty she is and she said I am too! I felt so bashful! Everyone here is a cutie pie and I just am so happy to come here every time the food and drinks are always superb! We love the security guard and all the employees and cooks here. We have never had a sour experience and this is definitely our comfy and cozy preference of a bar. Can’t wait for the next time we go! The pretzel with the queso and Guinness mustard is always a must! I also love that I order mocktails and just soda without ever being judged for not wanting to drink. I don’t know how Piper Down did it, but they picked the most amazing people to work here.
I popped in here with a friend after our bachata class and I was surprised by how cute and cabin-y it is inside! They had Christmas decorations up and there was a poker event going on in the back. We ordered the Taquitos and the Vegan Taquitos with a side of sweet potato fries. All of the food was FIRE! So tasty, fresh, and had great texture. The Christmas themed cocktails also had wonderful flavor balance. I got the Absinthe of Christmas and he got the Christmas Coffee cocktail. The only down note I have is that our main server, a lady with short curly hair, was quite rude throughout our visit. The other people that took our order and brought food were kind, but she was a sour spot in the visit for sure. I would definitely come back here though!
Very friendly servers, great food, and great drinks. They have a patio out back with a fire pit and up stairs that is open during good weather. They have bing nights and just a great vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
We went here for my mother’s birthday this weekend and we had so much fun. The food was incredible, appetizers were amazing, and the drinks were 10/10. We were helped by Sloan, and they were very efficient, kind, humorous, and the environment felt happy, safe, and accepting. We fed 7 people multiple appetizers, entrees, and drinks and our bill was extremely reasonably priced. Will come here again and again.
